About: The Focus Areas
The SMTC and NYSDOT want everyone who will be impacted by the decision on the future of I-81 to be involved in The I-81 Challenge. This means residents and workers in the entire metropolitan planning area, including the City of Syracuse and towns and villages in Onondaga County.
